Moved in and Called it Home

We stay in VRBO properties four or five times a year, and I can say without hesitation that this beautiful cottage was my absolute favorite! It was immaculate, thoughtfully appointed, and the perfect combination of cozy charm and understated luxury. Every detail made it feel welcoming, comfortable, and special. The location couldn't have been better — just moments from the beach and iconic Haystack Rock, with wonderful restaurants and charming boutiques conveniently nearby. It was the ideal setting for enjoying everything that makes Cannon Beach so magical. I genuinely cannot think of a single thing I would have changed. In fact, I loved this cottage so much that I would have happily moved in and called it home! That's the highest compliment I can give a vacation rental. An exceptional property in an exceptional location. We absolutely loved it!

This Home is Beautiful

This home was beautiful. We immediately felt right at home. All of Cannon Beach is walkable from here which made it super easy to enjoy all of the local shops and restaurants. The beach is one block away and you can hear the waves all day. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful House!

Beautiful house. The beds are to die for! So comfortable. The location is amazing! Close proximity to the beach and hose provides beach chairs that carry like a backpack. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Great Place

Great place. It felt like luxury, good quality furniture. And kitchen appliances were super modern. Appreciate the coffee and cookies etc. coffee machine was great. Very cozy bedrooms and the decor was very inviting. The deck is amazing. Both the dogs had a great time getting sun there, and it's great to lounge. A small block away from cannon beach and closer to haystack rock. Walkable to coffee places , restaurants and shops nearby. It's a great place for a 4 day stay in a prime location.

FABULOUS!

Fabulous spot for the 4 of us to enjoy a memorable week. We walked to the beach, into town and down the street (twice!) for dinner at a nearby restaurant. We enjoyed drives toward Astoria and also to the Tillamook Cheese factory. The home was clean and comfortable with thoughtful, up to date decor and furnishings.

Perfection

Hands down the best vacation rental we’ve ever booked. Every detail of Turtle Cove is thoughtful and designed to provide a luxurious experience. Comfortable beds and living room seating, high quality linens and gorgeous decor. My husband is a former chef and our friends who joined also include a chef. When we get together, we cook. We were impressed by the quality and variety of kitchen equipment—it is extremely well equipped and there were very few things I would have added. The overall vibe of Turtle Cove is peaceful and beautiful. The design work is stunning and clearly was intended to provide a setting that truly feels like home instead of a vacation rental. We will definitely be back.

The House and Location Perfect

The house and the location was perfect! Haystack is right down the road, which was great for morning walks with the dog. Lot's of coffee and breakfast places near by. The house is very thought out, and you can tell that they put a lot of care into the property. My family and I are already making plans to come back soon!

Nicest Airbnb Ever!

This place was the nicest Airbnb we've ever stayed in! No stone was left unturned. Shannon thought of everything... the decor was beautiful, the house was fully stocked with every item you'd ever need on a beach vacation, the kitchen was well-appointed, there were even Fall decorations out! We are looking forward to returning to one of Haystack's properties in the future. Thank you Shannon for being so responsive to turning on the EV charger for us, too, it worked perfectly! Such a nice amenity to be able to charge your car right on property:)

Stacey

HIGHLY Recommend

We were celebrating my Mom's 92nd birthday, so we drove down the weekend before to give Shannon the decorations. She was so helpful making sure the house was festive when we arrived. The home is wonderful. Every detail has been designed by Shannon and she has made a cozy home for her guests to enjoy. Our dog Tully was able to go with us too, and he enjoyed being a block from the beach. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we return to Cannon Beach for another vacation. HIGHLY recommend.

Sheryl

Fantastic Time

My dog and I had a fantastic time staying at Turtle Cove. The house is beautifully appointed, cozy and perfect for a relaxing stay. The backyard is wonderful for relaxing in the sun or grilling up dinner. The house has everything you would need to have a great time and it's done with quality in mind. They've really thought of everything. The location is perfect too - just steps from the beach and an easy stroll into town. I would definitely rebook this place in the future! Thank you!

Top Tier

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Turtle Cove. From the moment you enter the front door you surrounded by comfort and wonderful amenities. The location couldn't be better with a very short walk to beach. Downtown and restaurants are incredibly easy to reach by foot, day or night. The private quiet backyard has space for everyone. It was a perfect place to catch up on my reading. We will be back. Feb 2025

Designer, Cannon Beach local and founder of Haystack Luxury Vacation Rentals

For nearly three decades Shannon has been coming to the Oregon coast, first on yearly trips with her five children, and now as a Cannon Beach local. A designer and decorator, she bought her first coastal property in 2000: a neglected cottage that contractors told her to tear down. She restored it instead, and that cottage became the start of Haystack Luxury Vacation Rentals.

Turtle Cove is her design, from the floral wallpaper to the beach chairs by the door. Guests mention it constantly: the gift basket in the kitchen, fall decorations, a house made festive for a 92nd birthday, an EV charger switched on within minutes of a text.
